It felt homely, more like an apartment than a hotel room, partially due to its size but also to the light provided by the suite’s large windows and the comparatively quietness of the bedroom. We were only here for a night, checked in fairly late, ordered room serice which came within 30mins. Grosvenor House was the first hotel in London at that time to have a separate bathroom and entrance lobby for each bedroom, and running iced water in every bathroom. When the hotel first opened, it was also the headquarters of the International Sportsmen's Club.

The room and bathroom feels luxurious, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I wished I could have stayed longer for another helping but had to dash off to my appointment. I booked the night especially for my boyfriend Dan Grosvenor, we enjoyed the room, the ambiance and all of the employees were fantastic. In 1870, Hugh Grosvenor, 3rd Marquess of Westminster (later the 1st Duke) commissioned Henry Clutton to add a porte-cochère to the north, and he had many of the state rooms redesigned.

Excellent Location (walking distance to most of the London's iconic tourist places) and train stations (Marble Arch), good service, decent facilities, a bit pricy...... It is said that the home originally housed one of the best private art collections in the world, with paintings by Gainsborough, Velázquez and other old masters.
The lounges environment is enjoyable and never too busy, the staff are friendly and helpful, it is a pleasant place to work, hold a meeting, or relax. The food offering is impressive, tasty, and extensive enough to keep you full. If you do choose to eat out, the JW Steakhouse just up the corridor is well worth a visit, offering huge and tasty portions, including very large steaks for around £20 GBP a main.
